GPU block....so HEAVY!!!!

Go to solution Solved by Rck010,

Water-blocks are heavy and sagging is actually pretty common, i solved it with a 'DIY stand' that i made. I screwed it into my custom made bottom-plate, rock-solid, barely visible but looks decent and the card is 100% level.

just got my gpu block in the mail and it's a monster!!!!  My R9 Fury already sag's from just the oversized aircooling setup.  What am I going to do with this thing?

Waterblocks tend to not sag as much as compared to large aircoolers especially with a backplate since they are not just mounted around the die of the GPU but have many mounting points along the card. Some amount of sag also isn't an issue as long as it's not overstressing things.

water cocks are nice to have

and yes I could have googled it, but tonight I wanted to share my new equipment on this site instead of facebook where it would have without a doubt made many people jealous.  I'm 35 single no child support no alimony and I work a good job.  I don't know anyone else in that situation and the ability to blow money on stupid shit will more than likely make them jealous.  What was I talking about? Oh right, I wanted to get involved in this community where people actually care about computer shiz.

Audio go Brrrrrr

And thank you for an actual answer, I'm a little drunk so I got way to entertain with spoogey McGee's comment than the real answer.  I will just set it up and see how it goes, I did get a backplate but still not sure if it'll line up with my card and block.

I haven't had a single bit of sag on my waterblocks (although having a solid bridging piece probably prevents that issue.)
