Probably putting this in the wrong section and to be honest its probably already been asked and answered a thousand times... but hey its a post count + win win for me ;)

So anyways,  looking to measure my cpu temps/performances, should I just use default thingy mcbobs, or should I download specific software etc etc.

Thanks a bunch

Cinebench r15 for testing multithreaded work, cpuz has a small benchmark test, aida 64 for benchmarking and stress testing, prime95 v27 or intelburntest.

Unigine valley or heaven, mostly for gpu testing.  Firestrike, 3dmark, passmark.

Some are free, some aren't.  Lot's advise against prime95 and Intel Burn test because they are EXTREMELY demanding on the you.  If you don't have adequate cooling for the clock speed and voltage you want to run, temps will go insane immediately. However, I've found they find instability much, much quicker than other tests.  My aids 64 run was stable for 24 hours, where my Intel Burn test run ran for 5 minutes before a crash after it had been validated by aids 64 and 2 hours of gaming.
