When I purchase the Windows 7 professional 64-bit disk, and put it into a new built computer, no pre-installed OS or anything, will it do all of the work for me? Meaning, does it include the drivers and everything I'll need up to the point where I can access the Internet myself on the new built computer to download extra drivers, and insert the disks for my m/b, etc

It will include the basics, yeah.  Everything will "run".  Windows Update should get most of the updates for the other things, but you're best to install updated drivers from the 3rd parties (i.e. not microsoft).

I'm asking because I tried doing this thought USB, and when it got to the drivers, I couldn't figure it out, so buying the disk will solve this problem?

No, you need lan drivers, audio drivers, ethernet drivers ect, but these are suppose to be included with your motherboard often as a disc, so assuming you install the disc to( or get the drivers yourself from the moba manufacturer) then yes minus graphics drivers which are available from AMD/Nvidia site as needed

The disk and USB are the same exact thing. You need to use the CD that came with your motherboard after you finish installing. You should also use a ethernet cable in my experience for getting your other drives that didn't come with the motherboard and stuff.

I'm pretty sure Windows 7 includes the basics.  Everything WIndows 7 and after has preinstalled drivers for the most basic software.

It include the basics of hardware that was released BEFORE Windows 7 was released. It can't predict the future.

However, Windows Update will fetch many hardware drivers, but the manufacture of one of your hardware decides to not release their drivers throuhh Windows Update (example:Create Labs), then you'll need to manually get it and install it.

Windows also include generic drivers. Drivers that take advantage of established standards to get something working. But you may not be able to get all its features and abilities, including performance, or work at 100% properly, all depending on the hardware.

There's literally no difference between the disc and the USB install(other than the install speed). It's the same files, so buying the disc will make ZERO difference on that matter.

Like GoodBytes said, it will only have the drivers for hardware that was available BEFORE windows 7 came out, in 2009. So if your computer is newer than that, there's a chance that it may not have the generic drivers you need to get started (mainly the Ethernet driver so you can fetch the rest).

As such, while you can go on your motherboard manufacturer's website (Asus, MSI, Gigabyte) to get the "latest" drivers, you can also just use the driver CD that came with your motherboard to install them in a few easy click.

Or you can just install Windows 10(with the windows 7 key) and be done with it. Because it will automatically fetch most if not all, of your drivers, unlike Windows 7. And there's a higher chance that it will have the generic drivers to get you started.
