How Do You Type?

So I was wondering about this for a while and I just wanted to see your guys input and say about this,So typing we all do it.

But how do you do it what letters on the keyboard do you start on before you start typing.

Example:I start out on wasd for my left hand with my pinky on shift and my left thumb on space bar my right hand my left hand on ji and enter.This is kind of strange in comparison to the "Home Keys" which they teach you which are these http://www.typing-lessons.org/lesson_1.html.

For me these are so hard to type with starting out I guess I type in a strange way,But that doesn't matter how do you type!

I start on the home keys and type while looking at the screen. I guess this is considered the "Normal" way.

I started at hunting and pecking and slowly got faster with time... until I was finally using the home keys without looking at the keyboard. I never took a typing class, that's just what I ended up learning with time and lots of practice. :)

I start up the On-Screen Keyboard that's in the Accessories -> Ease of access  menu. Then I click on that app with my mouse to get the characters on the screen

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

I use the home row. My typing school was a lot of runescape and talking to people.

so you start on the gamer home keys lol i do that as well but i don't need to look at the keyboard to type. I can touch type i just start at a odd place and don't use all my fingers. i have my left hand on shift a s d and space and my right hand just hovers over the right side of the keyboard. I used all five fingers on my left hand and 3 fingers or so on the right side but mainly my index finger. As a result of this i don't think i can type as fast as i could if i was typing right but it gets me through what i need to type just fine.

I just smash my face into the keyboard and hope something intelligent comes out

I type poorly... If not for the fact that I proof read everything before I hit send, I usually have several miss-types per sentence. The next sentence won't have any editing. I type using my pointer anf middle finger oin both hands and my left pinky for pressing shift... That's about it. Also, my right ring finger for backspace

I used to just use my pointer fingers to type all the letters except my pinky for a and would have to look at the keyboard. Then one day about 3 years ago I realized i was pretty slow and I needed to speed up so I started forcing myself to type "conventionally" and now i have this semi-"correct" way to do it. I still make a lot of typos but i'm a lot faster now after practice.
