Hello I am new to over clocking and wanted to learn how to do it the right way. So if you can help please do so.

My current pic specs:
This computer is an IBUYPOWER- I-Series 301
Specs-
CPU- AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad Core 3.80 GHz
RAM- 8 GB
GPU- GeForce GT 610
Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
HDD- Toshiba DT01ACA200
Power Supply- Allied SL-8320BTX
Cpu cooler- Stock

First of all I am ordering an fx 8320 but I want to practice oc on this 4300 first. I will be upgrading my gpu at the end of this month when pascal is released. I also have a 240gb ssd in the mail along with a new psu.

Thermaltake PS-TPD-0850MPCGUS-1 850W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Modular Power Supply

I know how to get to my bios and that's about it. Can someone explain to me thoroughly how I should oc the right and easiest way! I understand my mobo wasn't completely made for oc but it can handle some.

Dear @Jrod_34, please scroll down to the end of the page and change the theme to night. See what happens to OP, and once you realize how much it hurts the eye, edit your post and fix it.

With love, Imakuni.

First you should change your formatting and get better cooler .... stock cooler cant even keep the cpu from throttling.

You will definetly need better than a stock cooler, and on top of that, IBUYPOWER likely restricts the BIOS to not let you OC very high. My friend has one (although is could be cyberpower?) and he can change the clock on the CPU, but not the voltage, so a high overclock isn't obtainable(and he has a 4690K)

otherwise, this video follows the same process you would:

the bios and processors may be different, but the process on which to get the highest possible overclock is the same.
