Move to Canada?

Hey guys! As LTT is based in Canada, I just thought that you all would be the perfect people for some advice. I am an Indian who lived in Singapore for about 5 years, now I am back in India and was thinking about moving to Canada (specifically Montreal(I have learnt French) or British Columbia). How is it to live in Canada? And do you guys have any suggestions for other countries to move to?

The reason to move is complicated and personal that I would not like to share.

Start the immigration process early.  You can't just move to Canada.

The currency is garbage and so is shipping. The US is nice as well in terms of currency and what not. Everything else is corrupt though and all politicians are being bribed by big oil companies

The weather here in Toronto is temperate.  Much colder than you are used to, but easily adaptable for anyone.

 

People are people, some nice and some not so nice.

 

To put it in perspective:  Canada's social economy has been developed with an abundance of war-free peace as it's backbone.  Most wealthy nations try for this.  Geographic location has made it easier for this country.

 

We have had a few problems with our political system being affected badly by corporations, but not to an irreparable degree (at least I like to think not).  With Harper out of office, the government will be slightly more ... honest with how business is conducted in Canada.  Time will tell.

canada is a nice place to live, currency is trash atm, jobs well it depends on what your doing, social, people are generally helptful, we are definetly culturally diverse so people will be more used to newcomers to canada and help you out if your not sure where to go and how stuff works. climate can vary quite a bit, montreal is a good mix of snowy winters and nice warm summer, cant speak much about bc as ive never been, btw quebec french isnt like any other french it will take a bit to get used to but should be fine after a few weeks, not really much else to say, just make sure to have some warm clothes for winter xD
