Making A Video Faster ?

So i have a video that i just edited that is 1:04 minutes i want to video to be only 1 minute, how do i make the video play faster in order for it to be 1 minute. I have Lightworks by the way but can't figure out how to make the videos run faster

If you use a program like Adobe Premiere Pro, you can:

1. Cut out the extra 4 seconds, which you don't seem to want to do.

Cant you just cut 4 seconds off a scene or something?

There should a speed option somewhere and you can put in a %

Now plark the playhead at the very first frame of your clip at the timeline (*) and change the speed percentage to a desired one. Finally trim the outgoing section of your clip.

(*) this is crucial because LW uses the position of the playhead as reference to apply the speed change. If the playhead is i.e. at the middle of your clip, LW will change the speed form that point forwards and from that point backwards, and this will change the position of your in and out points (in your case, slowing down the speed, the in point will be pushed behind the clip's incoming section at the timeline)

it's a dance video and the last 4 secs are the ending of the dance so no I can't cut it.

 

And yes I see the speed option but when I speed the video up the time stay the same for some reason

That is literally impossible.. check you are not just adjust the playback speed but the actual speed of the video itself
