hey, ive opened a thread about this at the start of the year. back then i didnt buy anything because investing 800 bucks in a monitor which gets shipped with backlight bleed 90% of the time didnt seem like a good investment to me so i waited and kinda didnt look at anything anymore.

now i wanna know. is there anything new worth considering? some new 1440p 144+hz monitor with an IPS display which is not complete garbage or where i do not have to enter a lottery to get a well functioning unit?

is there anything coming out within this year, that may be worth waiting for?

does not necessarily have to have g-sync but it would be a nice bonus. or should i just settle for one with a TN panel? if so, which one?

regards.

From my looking around... The best 1440p + 144hz + gsync would be the this dell (Link is here). It IS TN, but the QC is top notch apparently, barely any reviews for backlight bleed. Some reviewers even say the colors are pretty good considering it is TN. Plus it is the cheapest... about a year ago it was around $800.

I got a PG279Q earlier this week and it doesn't have any more light bleeding than my Dell UH2713HM or P2715Q.

I was considering that 144Hz Dell monitor, but I was going to throw this on a dual screen setup and well, TN's bad viewing angles would bother me too much.
