Remove heatsinks from my ram or just buy new ram

So presently i have 4 dimms of Corsair vengence at 1600 with my new cooler, i am going to have clearence issues so, should i remove the heatsinks off the ram, or just get a set of crucial ram to replace it, am i going to see a benifit using faster ram in gaming?

Removing the heatsinks is a bad idea.

Get now low profile ram. HyperX ram is pretyy low profile

why is it a bad idea theirs no warranty on it, since ive had it for 2 years now

Heat sinks for the most part are pointless on RAM unless it's really high speed RAM. They don't consume enough power to emit a lot of heat.

 

EDIT: Although a quick Google search shows it consumes around 3W, which isn't a lot of heat anyway even if it was 100% heat (which it's not)

Most RAM don't even need these giant heatsinks they put on them. They are mostly for looks
