i want to do a reinstall but i cant find the key i am using

No, Windows 10 automatically detects the key on your motherboard during installation. (if you bought it pre-build)

it is not pre built but has had windows on it before

as long as you had windows 10 on the PC previously it will activate itself when you connect to the internet

download produckey freeware and extract your windows key from there. then do your reinstall and re enter the key from there
