CPU and RAM for Video & Photo editing suggestion

Photo Editing Software: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

Video Editing Software: Pinnacle Studio 19.5

i am wondering if there will be a big difference in i5-4690K and i7-4790K when doing tasks like that.

Will i5-4690K be enough to do those tasks without suffering lag and slowness?

How about ram capacity?

Thank you.

Why get the 4790K instead of the 6700k? And yes you will see improvement in photo and video editing and rendering , lots of RAM will also help

the CPU will only really show when You are rendering the video file. So if You can wait a few more minutes, the i5 should be fine.

RAM is really dependant on what work specifically You want to to. 16GB is enough for most photoshop editing, but it could be a bit tight for very complex video edits with lots of filter, plugins etc.. But if You are not to crazy with the editing, 16GB should be fine and the i5 to go with it. Video and Photo editing can also benefit from a CUDA or openCL graphics card, especially on live playback and rendering

Yes, IMO getting an i5 with a decent gfx card rather than an i7 with no gfx card is a better choice

Actually many video editing programs etc with CUDA or OpenCL support usually benefit from graphics cards. So yes, a gfx card is a must.
