Its 5% where I am

The main problem is companies in Canada agreeing that they should all gouge the prices because they can.

I was quoting Shadow Captain about the British prices. ~$990 CAD + 20% sales tax. And also, the prices here aren't bad.

I used to be quite active here.

Why did you give the prices in CAD then?

Anyway, that really sucks and most likely it will be $1000 for you if not more ... there was a post somwhere with the predicted cost of the cards outside of the US.

What's your point? You know Nvidia said retail prices for Founders Edition is $700 USD right? This news was from 3 weeks ago.

You can convert it to Vietnam Dong and it is 20,000,000 Dongs. What's your point?

And it's just the Founder's Edition, which is poop! Wait for the board partners versions and you'll get better cards that hopefully don't throttle with stock settings and can hold the clocks.

Thanks for putting that up Loony979

That works out to to $1103 Canadian for the EVGA & MSI Cards. While the ASUS & Gigabyte are $1122 Canadian

So I wouldn't complain that much if I was Canadian. Plus you could prob buy it from an US shop & get it delivered cheaper.
Aussies will be looking at $100 US Minimum to get it delivered........

I honestly can't see the 1070 being under $650 over he in Aust

Speaking of overpriced Scheiße ... Did anyone see some recent prices (and comments) on Amazon?? How do sellers get away with that?! >$1700 for a reference GTX *80-series card?? (I also often see significant price hikes on older products by 3rd-party resellers on Newegg.)

Also in the first screenshot of the search results, a GTX 285 showed up because it had 1080 in the model number.  Before the real 1080s started showing, there were a lot of several-dieshrink/architecture-old cards in the results for that very reason.

When searching, how would people ensure that the older cards with 1080 in the model number don't show in the results? That goes for any site, not just Amazon.

This was way better than I had expected, this is on par with US pricing.  I was expecting at least $150 CAD on top of the exchange rate.
