Nope, it shouldn't. But for safe measure you could always upgrade to i5 3570K to over-clock.

That wouldn't be much of an upgrade...

 

@OP For a single card you shouldn't have any bottleneck whatsoever.

I was wondering if wait for the new R9 280x or just take a 7950/70 right now... my processor is i5 3550, will bottleneck the R9 280x?

Nothing can bottleneck that when speaking about single GPU solutions! :)

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

haha, well technically I sold project Uncorked, I actually still have my B75 1155 mobo and G540 cpu.
