RM850x or Supernova G2 750W

I just went to the store and picked RM850x for the same price for G2 750w, was it worth? Because everyone seem to be EVGA fan and telling me to get Evga G2 instead of Corsair RMx serie. Is Corsair RMx serie really that bad? I upgraded it from my new CX600.

RMx is slightly, slightly better than G2.

But Corsair doesnt have the best reputation around powersupplies and EVGA's customer support is said to be amazing.

X-series' KM3 platform is the HX/HXi's counterpart IIRC. It's certainly better than RMx

I wouldn't be so quick to say Seasonic X-Series is better. For one thing, generalization of any series is a no-no. Only comparison of the exact same-wattage models is ideal. Just looking at the X-Series 650W review on Jonnyguru http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=332

 

Yeah, it has tight voltage regulation, but what is most important is ripple, and the EVGA G2 650 has less ripple, and especially the RM650x does. Like lee32uk says, there is nothing really that shows the X-Series to be higher quality than the EVGA G2 units or Corsair RMx.

 

If I were to generalize a series, I'd say RMx is best out of all of them.

The RMx is great. The yellow RM unit is the one to avoid in terms of value.
