Your build won't saturate a 650w PSU, so I would consider this: Gonna add another 390 later? Get 850w. No? 750w. I'd get the EVGA G2 for either.

GAMING PC "Ol' Bessie":

Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Radeon RX 9070 XT | Gigabyte B650M AORUS Elite AX | G.Skill Flare X5 6000MT/s CL36 16GBx2 | 5TB of SSD POWER | EVGA SuperNOVA 850W GT | Noctua NH-U14S | Fractal Design Pop! Mini AirCachyOS

Kind Of A Home Lab "Bay":

Ryzen 9 5900XT | Intel ARC A310 | ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS | T-FORCE 3200MT/s 16GBx2 + Corsair 3200MT/s 32GBx2 = 96GB!!! WOW!! | 2TB boot SSD + 8TBx6 HDD RaidZ2 | EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2 | Phanteks Enthoo Pro M | Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

The Laptop:

Framework Laptop 13 | Intel i5-1340p | G.Skill Ripjaws 3200MT/s 16GBx2 | Solidigm P44 Pro 2TB | CachyOS

If the 850W is only $10 more than the 750w, you may as well go with the 850W G2.

I agree with this ^^

For just $10 more, it'll save your PSU fan having to spin up so much, you have more power headroom to upgrade in the future. I look at keeping a quality PSU as long as 5-10 years, so might even be good for another future build with that 850 watts.. plus it has a 10 year warranty anyway.

go with the evga G2 850w

its only 10 dollars but allows for the ability to add extra things on in the future. you may not want to now run 2 gpus but you may one day, and the 10 dollars for peace of mind is usually worth it

You'd be fine with a 500W unit so maybe save a bit and get an EVGA GS/GQ/G2 of around 550W-650W?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
