2005 Desktop Still Fast

For some reason I'm able to browse this forum faster then some a lot newer home pcs that people clutter up with background programs

It's a machine that I restored and added a wifi card and GPU to. AMD Athlon x2 64 2.1ghz, 4gb DDR2 RAM, 250gb SATA2 HDD, Nvidia GeForce 210 1gb VRAM, 802.11n PCI wifi card, and a IDE CD/DVD-RW drive it also has its origional 250watt power supply I also updated it to windows 10 64bit

Eh, not bad. It was probably cached, though you could argue that is good

Oh it runs it like a low end netbook or tablet will it won't brake any speed records but it works

Looks pretty fast. The biggest bottleneck I had with older PC's was actually the hard drive speed.

It's a iPod touch 4th gen my Iphone 6 battery went dead and was charging on the other side of the room and didn't want to unplug it

Want to upgrade it to a 3GHZ?

I'd got a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor core, the reason i'm not using it is that the TDP exceeds my motherboard allowed TDP.

Yah I bet if I put a modern 7200rpm drive or a SSD in there it will be a lot faster

Probably like 5-10 dollars depending on shipping fees or so...

I'd parting out my 64 X2 rig anyway, so i may have more parts for sale.

man i dont remember when my pc took that long to load a page, but thats pretty good for how old it is, considering my laptop used to take around 3 sec to load a page
