pricewise?

i'd grab a R9-290X. hopefully we'll see some 1440p benches soon.

plus with 2 x 7950 you would need to up your PSU which would cause it to cost as much as a new card

Your fine with a 860 its Corsair not some cheap brand.

Also the 290 is suppose to be $600 and beats Titan on 1440p plus has a 512 mem bus plus i can never really recommend anyone doing xfire or SLI yet. Maybe in a few years yes but not right now.

I just updated my Signature i had a TX650m that's why he made that comment :P what do you think about returning this gpu to Frys and getting a higher end single gpu for now depending on the price at launch?

600$ by the looks of it.

$300 for the 290 and all the models below have $100 price jumps so the 290x MIGHT be $500 *fingers crossed*

If the expected price tag released holds true, I would even go as far to tell to Crossfire the 290x.

I know it's still a little early. But 290x in Crossfire at 1440 Res.........May give Star Citizen a run for it's money!!   B)

No, 300$ for the 280x.

I'm also wondering, because then the 290 would be 400 right? If they make it 500$ it's gonna be fucking killer, i'll get two for sure.

Well... We can always hope..

All these websites are saying it's 599$ when it hasn't been confirmed by anyone yet, even in the presentation the price wasn't detailed. If it was 500$ it would be amazing, i'd like to get x2 of the BF4 Editions.

You could always sell your GPU, and however much you get from it, use that money towards the new GPU. I always wait for the 2nd revision. Due to its first release, it usually have problems like any other first released hardware do. So in my opinion, I would go dual 7950. I find it odd that R9 290X cost 300 bucks and the 7970 cost 500 bucks... from the look of it, 7950/7970 are the stronger cards, also the better value since the price dropped. That's just my opinion. Better yet, wait for the benchmark comparison vs 7900 series.

Now but when will the 290x be released ? they didn't say anything about that or did they ?

Mid October, before BF4 releases.
