what is the highest resolution monitor you can get?

im not actually buying a monitor but i'm just curious. I thought 4k was top of the line resolution but now im hearing about the 5k imac (apple released something that isnt outdated?) but i have also heard of 8k monitors and things like that. so whats the highest resolution?

Highest resolution? LG (and others) are making 8K displays, but there are displays around which are over 10K, but they require extremely expensive and often proprietary hardware

Dell has some 5k Oled displays.

that you can actually buy is 5k  but there has been 8k and 10k too

Commercially available in consumer products? 5120×2880. In labs and on show floors of course there have been higher, but 5K is the highest available in full production at the moment.

I went to the ‘worlds' greatest planetarium’ in Houston last week and it was 8k.
