Anti-Virus for pesant

Is there any anti-virus that doesn't require updating every week/days

I tried Avira, AVG, BitDefender Trial.

They all needs updating and it's very slow, I mean slower than my download speed. And if interrupted it restarts the download again.

So, I run very-very cheap internet connection, it's about 2.99$ per month every kilobyte is precious to me

So, this might sound crazy : is there any antivirus that just keeps my PC safe and never updates?

If you know what antiviruses actually did you would not be asking for one that doesn't update. New viruses are made everyday and you want an antivirus that doesn't get updated to deal with them? You could always unplug your ethernet cord. I guarantee you'll never get a virus that way.

Doesn't happen, mate.

Anti-virus programs NEED to update their definitions and systems to ensure it can find viruses.

If your antivirus doesn't update it can't protect you effectively. Antivirus updates are how it learns about new types of viruses and how to protect you from them. It's like saying "I want a smartphone that I never have to charge" or "I want a pet animal that doesn't need food"

well, Microsoft security essentials or windows defender is a godsend, its simple, non intrusive, and is quiet and it also works! if you have windows 10 the OS comes with it.

Just a bit of mocking : your metaphor is not right. You said, my pc runs without electricity..

Malwarebytes Anti malware is also good to use for a scan every once in a while, and also the Anti Exploit program.

all antiviruses need to update to protect against the latest threats

an antivirus that doesnt update is useless, you may as well just go to the sites and download the malware

either unplug your internet to not get a virus or buy better internet

Amm.... I usually don't get viruses from internet, it's my friends who brings their phones/flashdrives.

So anyway.... you cannot understand my problem maybe because you guys have good internet connection and updating takes just seconds, mine takes hours....!!
