More like the end of bailing out airlines for constantly filling for bankruptcy.

But admittedly this will just add to the options of transportation not decline others or should I say Amtrak? They are to expensive.

There's a lot of practical problems with the hyperloop that will limit the places it's actually usable

(i.e. very few stops at moderate distances with few obstacles/curves).

Highspeed trains are just easier and cheaper for short distances (both company and customer). Also routes that have frequent stops (nearby cities with burbs in between. Pretty much the entire South Cali area comes to mind).

Long distances have mountains, oceans, lakes, etc. that are costly to cut through/bridge over. Not to mention towns/properties that don't want any part of it.

 

There will be places for it, just not enough to be a serious threat to airline, autos, bus, trains, etc..
