I know they are cheap and nasty, but what are some personal experiences people have had with Kingston V300 SSds ? Just trying to gauge whether there is any point spending money on one

Thanks

There are other SSDs for a similar amount of money that are not the V300

I am still boycotting the V300 after the did a bait and switch and started producing lower quality and speed SSDs compared to the original version that got reviewed - so I advise not to buy

there are other cheap ssds that are good - what is your budget

AHHHHHHHHH RUN! These are the worst ssds ever. There are cheaper ssd that perform way better. The controller is outdated and performs like a fast hard drive, not a slow ssd (250-300mbps which is BAD) Dont get one of these ever get a ADATA or a samsung or a crucial or a hyper x. Anything but this.

Kingston SSD Now series is pretty garbage... Sandisk SSD Plus series is a really decent budget SSD and last time I checked they were around $50 for a 240 GB model. Adata SSD's are really good as well but I can't remember what their price is. Corsair Force LE is also something to look into. They were pretty cheap not to long ago although that could have changed by now.
