Consoles that support RGB Scart or Component (to 6th generation)

PlayStation 2

Well, just as the title says, I aim to say what consoles support it and how.

3rd generation:

Nintendo Entertainment System: not to what I remember. I'd love some correction on it.

Sega Master System: I think it supports RGB Scart natively?

4th generation:

Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Super Famicom: RGB Scart, native (model 1, SNES/Super Famicom)/modification required (model 2, SNES Jr./Super Famicom Jr.)

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis/any add-on for them: RGB Scart, native (model 1), modification? (model 2)

TurboGrafx16/PC Engine: RGB Scart, modification

Anything else: I will check up on and add.

5th generation:

Nintendo 64: RGB Scart, modification

Sega Saturn: RGB Scart, native

Sony PlayStation: no

anything else: idk, will check again

6th generation:

Sega Dreamcast: RGB Scart and VGA, native (latter supports 480p)

Sony PlayStation 2: Component and VGA, native for former, PS2 Linux and boot disks for latter (Component supports up to 1920x1080i, VGA is highly dependent)

Nintendo GameCube: RGB Scart, D-Terminal, and Component, all are region locked (RGB Scart locked to PAL, Component to NTSC and NTSC-J consoles, D-Terminal is presumably the same as component)

Microsoft Xbox: Component and D-Terminal(?), not region locked (both support up to 1280x720p or 1920x1080i)

If you want me to do anything else, just say it and I'll look into it.

Any questions? Post 'em!

Here's what I know for sure:

Famicom/NES - no SCART support, requires a HUGE hard-mod that involves sacrificing a Nintendo Arcade machine (or aftermarket board)

Super Nintendo/Super Famicom - Model 1 supports native RGB SCART. Model 2 requires a hard-mod.

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis - Model 1 supports native RGB SCART - I don't know anything about model 2 or 3.

PCEngine/TurboGrafx16 - Requires a hard-mod. (needs an add-on just for composite >.<)

Nintendo 64 - Requires a hard-mod

Sega Saturn - Supports native RGB SCART

Sega Dreamcast - Supports RGB SCART, although natively does 640x480 60hz VGA.
