blue LED 120mm fans?

jett473

so, i have a old rosewell case that came with blue LED fans. i always loved them because they match everything else in my setup, but sadly i believe they're starting to get a little old due to them running way louder now.

i was looking at some corsair fans http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181056 these to be exact. But i'm not really all to good at case fans, would these be fine? or are there better blue LEDs out there? my price is around 20-30 US dollars for 2 fans.

My favorite LED fans are Bitfenix Spectre Pros.  Good appearance, good performance, and decent price.

Have you checked if your fans have just been running faster?

Might be a littler over budget, at $34 for 2, but they should be among the better LED fans you can find, for that price point.

Dual-X's are alright but are overpriced at $17. Gelid Wings are much better http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gelid-solutions-case-fan-fnfw1215b

Think you linked the wrong version: This 120mm UV Reactive Blue Case Fan from GeLid keeps your computer components running cool, and glows blue when used with ultraviolet case lighting.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

That's what a Gelid Wing is.

Then its not a LED fan, but a fan with fan blades that reacts to UV light. Or in another words, a fan that needs LEDs to give of light.

Gelid Wings come in both UV and LED versions.

Then why did you link to the UV version, when the OP asked for the LED version?

i do apperciate the suggestion though! i looked up the LED version of those fans, and they're just fair too much for my budget (it was 25 per fan...). i'll probably go for the Cougars, actually. they look the best imo.

to answer your question way earlier, no i haven't checked if they were running faster. They're loud (they legit make up for most of the noise in my system) and they have dust on them that i can't get off. I've had them for around 4-5 years now so i just think replacing them would really be the best course for these fans.
