How do I turn off a notification from a status i posted on?

so I kept getting notification after posting on once to alert the people that is involved

is there a way to disable notification from this particular status update? (like facebook's "stop following this post")

i know there was a post about this before and the answer was you cant, but i also think there was a post saying you can now, so i really dont know.
