What is it for? can you run games and stuff at 4k on your rig?

 

for desktop use id advise a 1440p monitor instead since there are scaling issues at 4k

I would be watching movies on it, but I don't have a big enough are to put a TV. Unless you know of a 27" 4K TV.

Why do you want 4k for movies? 4K Blu Ray just came out and there are hardly any available

Netflix and other sources don't have much 4k and when they do the bitrate is not nearly enough to make it worth

You're better off getting an Ultrawide if just for movies, won't be wasting screen space and you will be able to stick to 1080p which will bring the price right now

Wouldn't get ultrawide anyway. TV shows in 16:9. Best compromise 1440p, cheap, sharp.
