Depends if you want to just overclock a moderate amount... by this I mean overclock without adding too much more voltage just to get a stable overclock. Or whether you mean extreme overclocking.

Before doing any overclocking make sure your system is first stable and have all the drivers etc you need... there's no point in trying to overclock an unstable system IMO, because you won't know whether the system is failing because of the OC or just because you didn't have it stable to start with.

If it's the former, then it's pretty simple really, if you have a K CPU... just adjust the multiplier in the BIOS by a moderate amount to start with... something like 40 maybe, and make sure to turn off "turbo"... then see if it will boot. And then test for stability of the system. repeat and add more to the multiplier until you get an unstable system. At that point, decide if you want to dial back the multiplier and test again for stability, or add more to the vcore that could make the CPU more stable at the higher multiplier. You can google your CPU to see what is a good amount to increase the vcore.

For extreme overclocking, I don't even go there... it could dramatically decrease the life of your CPU.
