With the 1070 and 1080 just announced, there'll be a round of upgrading. I'd just like to know what everyone here is doing.

Personally, I'm gonna (try to) hold off for a 1080 ti. I have a certain aversion to not getting the "big" chip, and I also want to make my next upgrade an HBM2 card.

I am gonna wait to see polaris, then probably get a 1080 and when it gets released a 1080 ti, selling the 1080. I'm just gonna awnser wait for a 1080 ti in the poll but that isn't my full awnser.

I cant believe no one is waiting for the pascal titan....if the 1080 was this good, hopefully this one is gonna be a lot better than the X for say 800 USD (hopefully) ...

Not just for gaming obviously it it is an exciting prospect. But id like to see polaris as well...just out of interest.....

I would think that's the idea behind waiting for the 1080 ti. People are expecting near-Pascal-Titan performance for cheaper, like the 900 series.

You forgot about wait for Vega option.

For now I am waiting for Polaris 10 to see if there will be any sense of ditching 980 Ti for the most powerful Polaris that comes out. If not, I probably would temporarily get 1070 just to get rid of heat and bad noise levels of 980 Ti and then wait for Vega.

I said hopefully.....its pretty hard to convince consumers to pay more than double the price of the 1080 for a titan at this point...

I'm trying to stick to the most imminent architectures. I think looking farther ahead is outside the scope of this poll.

No not really.

Nvidia will be doing this the 3rd time now and it will still be the same, if not even more expensive.

I'm 99% confident you won't be able to get a Titan for less than 1000USD at Launch.

Actually, it would be a bit less than double if they stuck to the $1,000 price point.

Pascal Titan is also coming out in 2017 and yet you included this option. If you want to make sensible poll then include all possible options. Especially if you included all options except one.

It's still Pascal, and you don't know when it's coming out. Vega isn't AMD's immediate next architecture.

I'll fit that into the "Wait for Polaris" option to give as many choices as possible, though, especially since I just remembered that they said Polaris would mainly be their consumer architecture.
