I am interested into going into some type of engineering

Anyone know good courses to go into which will get me a good job in the future?

The type of courses for each field of enineering are going to be different, but most share backgrounds in math and science, if your school has some sort of introductory engineering classes, or program that give insight to a wide variety of engineering fields hat could help narrow down which field you are interested in, if not then there is the internet, and for pretty much anything, there is some sort of engineering behind it.

Engineers will always be needed, so it will never be a bad career choice.

Just going to say this right now, its not a good idea to choose a career solely based on what makes the most money. Find out what you love to do, and focus on that. If all you focus on is money, that is what leads people in dead end jobs where they feel trapped and unable to leave. If you hate your job, your not working the right job. Simple as that. Just some personal advice.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

It really comes down to what you like to do. Personally, I like robotics and designing and fixing things. Which is why I have an BS in Mechanical Engineering. I really liked the mechatronics classes I took. I also have a minor in computer science (that probably wasn't worth the paper it's printed on, but that's a whole different story xD). If I had the chance to go back, I'd probably minor in applied statistics or computational mathematics.

But back on topic:

Engineering traditionally falls into 3 major categories: Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace. Most schools also have Computer engineering. Mechanical engineers tend to do a bit of everything. They're the 'jack of all trades' of the engineering world in most cases. I learned everything from electrical engineering, to thermodynamics, mechanics, programming (mostly Matlab and 1 C++ course), to solid modeling and simulations, and even traffic flow (i'm not kidding).

Be prepared to take a lot of math courses. Mostly Calculus + Differential equations, and some statistics and linear algebra. You'll also need the full course breadth for physics. Everything after that is all engineering classes, plus whatever you need to complete the general education requirement (general chemistry, biology, english/composition, social science, history, etc.)

As for Aerospace: They're specialized mechanical engineers (to some degree). My understanding is that they focus more on dynamics and thermodynamics).

Honestly, find something you like and go with that. Most engineers can work (and do work) cross domain. Being an engineer, even if you're specialized in 1 particular field, you can always find work, even if it's not something directly related to what you majored in. IE: I'm an mechanical engineer working in planning and construction of commercial building, occasionally I cross into doing bridges and other support structures. Typically, this job would be more centered for an Civil Engineer, but my license allows me to do work pretty much wherever I want.

It will depend on the country you're from.

If you're in France, scratch everything other said, it's veeeeeery different.

If you're anywhere else, what other said seems about right from what I heard from every foreign students :)

What kind of engineering?

There's aeronautical engineering.

Mechanical engineering.

Electrical engineering.

Environmental engineering.

etc.

and bio-engineering and bio-mechanical engineering I recommend these ones :P

I chose it because I love it, but money comes in handy too...
