Yeah aslong as it stays cool enough you may aswell, I mean why not aslong as you dont go to far and start running really hot, you could just adjust your fan curve to keep it cooler at higher speeds. (I'm pretty sure you can do that in MSI afterburner).

Free performance. As long as you monitor your temperatures, why not.

I once thought that I won't oc my new PC so it could last longer, but seeing 10+ fps boost in games, I thought how foolish of me was to think that I won't overclock. Go ahead and do it if you keep the temps below 80

overclock it. just watch temps and be realistic about what you are gonna get out of the card. 500 series run hot. like damn im gonna cook something on them hot. watch your temps, be aggressive with your fan curve (maybe run them a little more than you think is necessary until you have the overclock dialed in, this will make it a little louder). your not gonna get 20% more out of the card but you can definitely extend the life of the card for another year+ with a decent overclock.

As long as you dont go over 80oc then you are good. The performance should help. Do some research on overclocks people have got with your card, then do your clock 20% lower then the average that you find and then slowly increase, if you need to then manually increase your fan speed.

560ti's are locked to a max clock of 999mhz which I could hit easily, depending on game it was 1050-1100mv on mine

EDIT: EVGA reference 560ti stock cooler easily maintains stable temps at 1100mv bit it's quite noisy around 90-100% in witcher 2

Sure, you can get at least 10% better performance or more depending on your card. Well worth it. I own a 560-ti which runs at 1000MHz (it's 950Mhz stock, MSI 560-ti HAWK card)
