I build my pc a couple months ago and would like to overclock it, but I don't know how well it would work. my specs are:

   motherboard - Gigabyte G1.sniper B6

   Cpu - intel i5-4690K

   Powersupply - Corsair RM650x

   Cpu cooling - Corsair Hydro Series™ H60

If you need to know the other parts you can always ask. Can someone please tell me how this would handle, and if it's even safe to overclock?

I don't believe you can overclock with a B series chipset for the most part. Some of them have limited overclock abilities but beyond that you won't get much.

gpu : yes , always

cpu : it depends . Officially , only z87/z97 works , but some b85 boards can do it. Go look and see if your board supports it in the bios.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Technically Yes your PC can overclock; that particular board does have overclocking features and I believe has a 4+2 power phase but as others have mentioned, the B series board are not normally meant to have OC features so you shouldn't push it to hard if you do plan to OC on it. guru3d was able to push the i7 4790k to 4.8GHz on the same board; you can read about it at the link below and they provide some basic steps they took. I imagine they don't plan to use it as a daily machine so again, I wouldn't push the board or the CPU too much, keep the OC reasonable if you do decide to do it.
