Yea for 200 pounds no shit. But in mist places the 7950 on its own costs 150 used. The PC your building new is easily over 500. Yes yours will "outperform" it but its not as optimized or balanced for that matter. Look at the new final fantasy game. That game looks god damn fantastic. The ps4 isnt "weak" by any means but it could be better. Thing is the console market is not enthusest. And If sony sold at a loss they would go bankrupt. Legit playstation is the ONLY division of sony that isnt in the red and playstation is keeping them afloat. Plus what would 14 dollars add in terms of performance. Also its only 300 USD not 350. My mistake.

£150? Who on earth would pay £150 for a 7950?

yeah but its still limited by windows and dx11. its the only advantage of consoles that every game is specially made for the hardware.

pc is still better though!

A 7870/270 still beats a ps4 even with those handicaps.

My only thought is unlike kepler, amd actually still provides driver updates for the 7000 series

Kepler gets driver updates.

Hello.

I am building a gaming PC for My sister at a low price. I also have made a wager with a few friends that this PC will be faster than a PS4

Paired with a amd athlon x4 860k, will a radeon hd 7950 outperform a ps4 in games?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the 7950 will be significantly faster than a ps4.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
