I am not sure of the best android phone. But i am pretty sure you can purchase a phone off of your carriers website. Or off of the website of the company that makes the phone and just transfers the service over. (at least thats what i did with my iphone)

It really depends on what you want a phone to have. For ex. If you want a good camera then go for the S7. There are other phones like the HTC 10, and LG G5 (if you don't mind plastic feeling metal). Just note that it's still only may, and a bunch of phones like the Note 6 will come around fall and winter.

I'd add to that...

  • Nexus 5X and 6P
  • Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge and Note 5
  • Droid Turbo 2
  • LG G5
  • HTC 10
  • Moto X Style

So I only added two or three phones. Whatever.

Galaxy S7 Edge / S7 ---- HTC 10 (or other way around. depends on which features you weight stronger)

Nexus 6p (i rate this BELOW this years generation. S7 (Edge) just Nailed so hard this year... Even LG G5 looks like an average phone with a bad built quality in comparison (well.. it has a bad built quality, and i would not recommend the LG G5).

If you do NOT Life in China, or USA, and your Region has the Exynos model of the Galaxy S7 ( Edge), then definitely S7 (Edge).

The Exynos chip is MUCH more efficient, than the Snapdragon 820 chip. The s7 with Exynos chip can last like 20-30% longer than the Snapdragon version. That's a huge Plus.
