I'm going to get a new system soon and i cant afford a GPU for it yet, so I'll be using integrated graphics for some gaming (csgo and the type)

the 6600 got a slightly faster iGPU clock, so should i spend some more for it? or should i get the 6600tray (cheaper than the 6500box i want to get) and find an lga115x stock cooler/some extremely cheap aircooler? will i even notice the difference? I'm talking about both the cpu higher clock and the iGPU one

the system:

i5 6600

asus h110m-a

8gb corsair lpx 2400mhz

1tb wd blue

120gb hyperx shfs37a (might change to corsair force ls which will grant me the 6600box, however i don't think it's good, might need some input on this)

seasonic m12ii evo 520 (could go for s12ii for some more savings aswell if you will say it's good)

screen: 16:10 1680x1050 from the current system

I got an option to get a second hand i5 4440 for almost half the price of the 6500/6600 but I want to go skylake... and i rather not go searching for lga1150 boards and travel half the country for the cpu

currency:nis

current system price: 2562NIS

if the 6600 is cheaper then go for the 6600

and get a good aftermarket cooler like the hyper 212 evo instead of the stock cooler if you're going to buy one anyway

whether you'll notice the difference or not is probably no, no you wont, maybe slightly

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

here they don't sell the 212 Evo, they sell the 212x which is about 200nis

in ebay its 200 aswell because of shipping

intel stock coolers cost 10nis in ebay though which will be equal to the price of the 6500 box

id like to save as much as possible in cash without getting the "breaks in less than a year" stuff

then get the hyper 212x, as it's the successor to the hyper 212 evo :)

Go for Skylake when you want to use the iGPU do game a bit (I will work for CS:GO on 1080p even with high settings) the iGPU's are the thing that get pushed by Intel the last Gen's and that make a huge differents, trust me. The HD 4600 from Haswell is able to handle CS:GO with huge gaphical cuts (lower res., no shadows ...) and the HD 530 will run it without any issues CS:GO and League of Legends (LoL even on HD 4600) maxed out (maybe without AA) no problem.

The performance gap between the HD 5500 (from my NUC5i5MYBE) and the HD 4600 (from my i7-4790T) is huge! My very much weaker NUC (the GPU is only a 2Core 4thread U CPU with even lower clock speed) show more performance in CS:GO than my i7-4790T, but it's limited CPU wise.

But hey lowest frame dip of 56fps when I OC 1 core to get more IPC on a single one to run CS:GO with a power draw of 47W (including the display via eDP port and the peripherals)

And the HD 530 from Skylake had much more juice than these two!

PS: If you run your iGPU you should OC the clock speed of your RAM to get more fps, that is more or less the only profit of RAM overclocking to give your iGPU a bit faster memory =D

with the h110 you can't oc the ram unfortunately.. and it can't go over 2133

im not overclocking so i don't want to spend 50$ on the 212x

what about the rest of the hardware? is it good? ive checked reviews about the psu and ssd and they're okay i think

OK I miss that H110,

btw I think  you can use XMP profiles (not in your case cause the "value" RAM is only 2133Mhz)  on H110 Mobo's even If they go above the 2133Mhz mark, correct me if I'm wrong but I think that I read this somewhere

that is interesting, i looked it up and most people dont even mention it except one that everybody either didnt care or thought no one would need it

however there was one guy that got 2800mhz ram on an h170 and it didnt work, so i guess ill stay with the default

yeah it's not worth to pick up a better board or invest in RAM with a higher clock in the XMP file, you profit with the Skylake iGPU anyway from DDR4 that is even one of the reasons why the skylake iGPU will perform better than Haswell iGPU
