So who else has early access?

 

For those who don't or aren't sure they have capable systems, apparently it has relatively low system requirements too, so I suggest trying it out come May 5th when the open beta starts.

Download Blizzard's inferior version of Steam, battle.net, create an account, and on May 5th, download. You'll probably be able to download early so you can play asap but you won't get access until May 5th.

Open beta is out now. It's a pretty fun game, but if you haven't heard already, it's basically a much better TF2, so if you don't like TF2 you might not like Overwatch. Give it a try though, it's free to play for right now.

Just had a quick play on it. Looks nice, but I'm not into this type of game. Still, at least I'll have a clue what others are talking about now.

I'M SO EXCITED TO PLAY. THEN I JUST REALIZED THAT MY RIG IS "shitty"

 

How did your rigs fair? I'm under the assumption that this game is CPU-bound so my R9 380 is not a problem.

My Pentium is a real problem though

You should be fine. My 780 pulled an average of 70 fps and never dropped below 67. My cpu was basically doing nothing. It's a really well optimised game.

I was annoyed it didn't support UWA so I was only playing in 1440p 16:9 Ultra defaults. Once I turned on VSYNC to get rid of the horrible tearing it never dropped below 60fps on my 980Ti. I did put GPU-Z in the background and saw that my card was going into thermal throttling, but still fps didn't drop. Didn't pay attention to CPU usage.

Tried it for a couple of hours and it gave me a TF2 feel-blast.

played for a few games on ultra, it seems well optimized.

Not sure if my cpu can still handle multitasking while running the game though. ahahaha
