New Mini Itx Build

Hi

I just moved and in need of a new m.itx pc for gaming and graphic design

 

1. Budget & Location

USD $1000

Excluding a monitor (I have an Asus ROG Swift)  -  A GPU (EVGA 980ti Hybrid)

 

2. Aim

Heavy gaming and Architecture Programs (AutoDesk Stuff) n a little adobe stuff plus a media server 

I need it to be small and silent 

Mini ITX (Prefer NZXT Manta or Corsair Bulldog)

 

3. Monitors

I already own a ASUS ROG Swift 

 

4. Peripherals

Need an OS and any budget logitech keyboard and mouse would do

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

I sold my old PC and I kept my monitor and was gifted a EVGA 980ti Hybrid before moving so I need a new PC

Comes in at $1034 with an i7 6700K OC mobo, very decent PSU etc... it also supports faster M.2 drive support if you need it in the future and is of course overclockable...and had a 2TB HDD for games storage.

 

You can buy an OS key for like $20 I think... and mouse/keyboard is too personal to suggest something as everyone has different tastes and requirements.

Corsair 250D is a super nice case FYI, it's big for ITX but it's like a more refined nicer Bitfenix Prodigy.

Comes in slightly over budget because of OS costing $80, sure you could get that cheaper... and with a thermaltake case, it's one of my favourites for a small-ish build as you can fit a lot in there... and is a stackable case, so in the future if you wanted to put a water loop or whatever you could just buy another case and stack them together. Not to everyone's taste, but hope it hleps

There is nothing Mini ITX about the Core V21 lol...sure you weren't thinking of the Core V1?

Yep, I know it's an mATX build, just giving the OP some options... expanding on my earlier build I made.

I use (and love) a Core V21, but I'd never put a Mini ITX board in there when the Core V1 is available. Sure, you can fit a ton in there, but you can't fit enough on a Mini ITX board to fill out the space.

Yeah, I see what you're saying, but to me it seems OK... I sometimes go with a smaller mobo so that later I can fit it in a smaller case if I want to also... a mITX will fit in an mATX or an ATX case too... so if you change your mind or your needs change you don't have to start over. For instance I have nearly always gone for an ATX mobo, now that I would like to have my slightly older hardware actually ON my desktop I can't as it's too big... if I'd gone with an itx or mATX mobo I could have moved into a smaller case. Maybe doesn't make sense to some, but for me it seems a good choice... or get an mATX board.
