Hard drive failing?

my wdd green is making a buzzing noise on system startup every time and i'm worried about what the hell this is there are important documents on that drive. should i replace the drive or is it fine

my green drive also makes a slight buzzing sound when it starts. you should be backing up anyway.

i have 2 green drive same type one buzzes one does not and it's not s light buzz it's the loudest thing at startup can hear it above fans and pump startup

Might be a good idea to contact WD then.

if you're worried, download crystal disk info and see what it says about the drive

i recommend you backup the drive if your files are important

and run this test from WD if crystal disk info says the drive isnt healthy

No idea ,but a loud buzz should be taken as a portent of doom, Back-up anyway (especially as it contains "important documents").

Might be a good idea to backup your files incase it fails, contact WD Nonetheless.
