ASUS Getting Into The Automotive Industry

This is adding to any existing discussion that I could find, and I'm not entirely sure that this is the correct sub-forum to post it to, but it did seem the most applicable.

 

Upon visiting the asus.com website for trying to see when they will be releasing their ASUS Reco Smart car camera (Found Here), I noticed that there was a link in the footer under the first column for "Automotive Solutions". The link takes you to http://www.unimax.com.tw/ where ASUS is said to be it's owner, and a version of the Reco Smart car camera is found, but branded with Unimax.

 

The website looks like it's still being completed and is being setup from a template.

 

Even doing a Google search did not bring up any listings for the ASUS Unimax website.

 

I've attached a screenshot in case it happens to be removed from public view.

 

I'm very curious as to what others think of this.

Also is it just me or does unimax.com sound like a diaper brand?

the Strix Car™, its a rebranded prius and they market it as low noise.

Please ASUS, call the division ASUS Automotive and not Unimax.
