LG G4 Bootloop (Urgent)

Derpologist

Hello!

About twenty minutes ago, in the middle of the current class im in, my LG G4 (Verizon) randomly rebooted and has been stuck in a bootloop ever since. I have tried plugging it in without the battery, changing the battery, etc etc. I know that this is a known issue, however. Is there anything I can do? Do I need a new phone? I rely on my phone for communication so if I do not have it, I'm gonna have some serious issues with LG. If they don't fix this, I'm definitely never buying another LG phone again. Fucking sucks.

Welcome to LTT! Feel free to PM me if you just wanna chat, I love conversation!

If you ever have any audio questions, wether it's software, hardware, or production and theory, feel free to ask me. Odds are I can help you, or get you help.

Try removing your battery and press your powerbutton for several seconds, reinsert and boot up.
If that doesn´t work, boot it up until it hits the bootloop and then do a force restart by constantly holding your powerbutton until the phone shuts off and restarts.

In case that doesn´t help the pretty much last option is to reset it.

Do you have a custom recovery installed?

Edit: And remove your SD-Card just to make sure

Ahh yeah, sorry I pasted that before I read it properly... was assuming a soft reboot would work when the phone was off... looks like the only options left is hard reset then, but you lose all data... or have a look at this  http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g4/585937-lg-g4-bootloop-without-rooting.html

Sorry I can't be any help here.

If it's a hardware issue, then surely they should provide you with a replacement or a refund?

Nono, remove battery and press the powerbutton after that. Did you do that? Just to completely get the power out of the circuits.

If you don´t know custom recovery it´s not of a concern :) It´s...maybe like a BIOS/UEFI on PC, where you can do stuff like factory resets, wipe cache etc.

Yeah, I don't blame you... I actually buy my phones from China now, I know there's no warrnty to speak of, but I can root and put custom bootloaders/recovery and ROMs on it without problems.. and they are a lot cheaper :)  I currently have a lenovo k3 note is 5.5 inch full hd screen, 8 core 1.7Ghz CPU 4g 13/8Mp cameras etc etc... only cost approx $140 about a year or more ago and has ran fine and now have android 6.0 on it too.

UPDATE: I was just able to get it to the verizon screen, but then it restarted. Seems like the longer I leave it, the faster it will get in the boot process.

I will be getting a Nexus 6P this weekend. Now the only thing I care about is my data. Just some pictures of me and the girlfriend and some ideas for song lyrics.
