Graphics Card memory isn't affected by the motherboard

If computers have no doors or fences, who needs Windows and Gates?

People have already said that those aren't related, but I'd like to give a little more information:

The GPU is basically like its own little computer, with its own chipset, RAM, VRMs, and everything else. As such, the graphics RAM is on the card and isn't used by or affected by any of the components outside of that card.

You will have no problems.

We are trying to explain to you...

Graphics card memory is 100% separate from normal computer system RAM.

The "G" in GDDR# stands for graphics, and is ONLY used by the Graphics Card.

The rest of the computer is not allowed to touch it.

You can have:

  • GDDR5 graphics card with DDR3 RAM
  • GDDR5 graphics card with DDR2 RAM
  • GDDR3 graphics card with DDR1 RAM
  • ....GDDR855 wiith DDR38 RAM....whatever...
  • etc

I am using HBM graphics card with DDR3 RAM.

We've already answered that. It doesn't matter at all. The VRAM and motherboard are completely unrelated.

I'm running out of ways to say that those have nothing to do with each other.
