DVD-RW Drives

I guess, this is kinda a storage question, so here it is; Are all DVD-RW internal drives okay to be mounted sideways? The reason I am asking is because I am planning to build in the air 540, which has sideways drive bays.

Pretty much, yeah. The ones with those small plastic tabs that go over the disc just a tiny bit definitely are.

The trayless ones that usually don't even come in 5.25" can be problematic. And you'd also have trouble with 80mm DVDs with any drive.

Unless the drive says to be mounted upright it should be fine. Mounting it sideways isnt the best, but it wont break anything either.
