Hi everyone,

I am about to buy and start my first ever gaming PC build and I have just 1 concern before I start about cooling.

I was wondering if a) my case had enough air flow for my components (if not can you recommend a good case for under £100), b) if the standard intel cpu cooler would provide subtible cooling for my cpu/won't cause any damage (I will not be doing any overclocking and I am not concerned about sound) and c) if my power supply will provide enough power for my components.

My specs are:

Intel i5 6500

MSI GTX 970

ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING MOTHERBOARD

Corsair VS550 PSU
Corsair Vengence LPX 16GB DDR4

Corsair Carbide Series 400C

Thanks :)

Not that PSU. Don´t get that PSU. The 970 over the 390 is your call, just don´t get that PSU. And why are you getting a Z board with a locked cpu?

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

1. You don't need a Z board. Save yourself some serious cash and get an H instead.

2. I'd lean more towards a 390 than a 970 for superior performance, but the 970 is no slouch

3. Dat PSU tho, grab something by Seasonic, EVGA or a higher end Corsair if you can. My rule on PSUs is simple: it's the one and only component that can destroy your entire system instantly. There is absolutely no substitute for a high-quality PSU.

4. Oh, right, cooling. With a locked chip, you're fine with the stock fan. If you want something quieter, look into the Cryorig H7.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Hi, would a Corsair CX650M be better? (I want to go with corsair PSUs since my case is corsair and apparently same brand PSU and Cases fit better)

Thanks

Actually I think I am going to go with a CX750M instead, would that be enough to power my system (I have gone with Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 390 instead of 970)

Thanks again

Do not, I repeat, do not put a CX series in a gaming PC. They're riddled with performance issues. Look at the RM or RMi series instead.
