Go with the toshiba. The R 5 m230 chip that comes with the dell doesnt perform as much as the competition in this case

You can get this with the i5 and 950M now, and buy the rest of the parts seperately, usually cheaper that way.

Did you go for that particular model because of the 12 gigs of RAM? Because you can always add more RAM by yourself for much cheaper.

If you really want this model, an i5 an i7 would perform almost same  in each case fr the workload you'll be putting it under. decide if the price difference id a lot for you or not.

If i were you , i would go for the i7 6200U because of slightly better clock speed in turbo. May or may not make a difference.

The i5 6200U and the i7 are essentially the same chip.

tldr if you are okay with paying 40 pounds more for slightly better clock speed, go for it..otherwise the i5 is going to do whatever you tell it to do anyway.

Go for the new one...purely because of the superior graphics

The R9 M375 it comes bundled with is better than anything else you talked about before.

Nope....on midrange laptops, you should never buy something for the RAM or the CPU.

ALWAYS check the graphics card...after the harddrive the graphics card is the major bottleneck in a Laptop, because you cannot change it. You can always remove the hardrive and put an SSD, add more RAM etc ..but the graphics card, no chance. CPU wise, unless its an i3, you're good.
