So I'm looking to build my new rig. Have built my last 4 setups but recommendations are always welcome. For this setup my budget is right around $4000 USD. This will be used for rendering, video editing, gaming, and some streaming. As a side note I'm looking into getting into custom water cooling for the first time.

Current part list

This is what I have so far. My reason for the godlike carbon is mostly esthetics as my build will be white and green so the rgb will be a nice touch without giving up performance to get something that is not red.

The power supply is up in the air as well but I went with the 1000w because I see myself adding to this setup at some point.

For the cpu I went with the 5930k as opposed to the 5960x mainly because I can't justify the price when I could get better parts all around with the money saved there.

Components that I am really up in the air about would be storage, ram, and psu. I also plan to get another monitor to replace my 24" 1080 screen that just died. Other than that no other peripheral is needed.

Any help or suggestions would brew much appreciated.

are u adding water blocks to the GPU's? also do you really need a CD drive if so maybe get a blu ray/dvd reader so u can do both.
Also maybe look at a Asus motherboard for reliability.

Try an 850 pro (OS drive) with WD Red drives for mass storage or use an 850 for for OS and 850 EVO 1tb for mass storage for extra speed

looking at your list it seems that you know what you are doing

if you really wanted to save a bit of money i would get windows os from other cheaper sources but its entirely up to you whether you want to or not.

apart from that slight note it all seems pretty good

(when your motherboard costs more than your cpu )

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

I will be adding watercooling to the gpus as well.

I also already have a dvd/bluray reader spare so I do nit need to purchase one.

As for the 5820k since I see myself adding to the rig so getting a cpu with 40 pcie lanes as opposed to 28 will make that easier to do.

And yes the mobo is pricey but I have worked with asus fir every build do so far and wanted to try something different. Along with there getting no rampage v extreme carbon this is why I went msi. The red on the asus does not fit the build esthetics.

The 5930K isn't going to be worth the extra PCI-e lanes, spending far too much on that motherboard man

did you have another budget for the display? because you should be going with dual Fury cards as you'd save some cash on a 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display vs the G-sync version which was 200 more last I checked

If you want to get into water cooling the only true answer is shelling out for a caselabs case.
