What Should I Upgrade Next

So I Am Wondering On What To Upgrade Next On My Machine, I Am Most Likely Getting A Pascal Card When They Arrive If They Are Any Good If Not Then A 970 G1 Gaming Or Xtreme Gaming.

 

Specs:

 

Mobo: msi 990FXA

 

CPU: fx - 6300 @ 4.5 ghz

 

Ram: 8 gbs 1600 mhz

 

GPU: 960 ssc

 

PSU: 750watt 

 

SSHD: 2 tb 7200RPM

if you wanna get pascal, you probably need a better cpu to pair with it

which means cpu+motherboard+possibly ram

What Mobo Do You Think I Should Get, I Could Go With A New "zen" cpu But I Would Have To Wait A Longer Period Of Time

Cpu as it's going to bottleneck both option of GPUs but not too massively...still, it would be good to upgrade your CPU first

Get skylake, it's near impossible that Zen is better than it

zen uses an entirely different motherboard, so we'll only know by then

 

but i guess you get to choose between skylake,kabylake, and zen by the time zen releases

so pick whichever makes sense by then (price to performance especially)

I'm Planning On Getting A New CPU Anyway Such As An 8350 Or Better, Also Getting More Ram, Sitting At 5 - 6 gb Of Ram Usage Practically All The Time

Ermmmm....the low IPC of the current fx line is the thing that's bottlenecking it...you would really want something like an i5 to not have your CPU bottleneck anymore (but with DX12, it may get better...a lot better)

hmm good point, just will have to save more and wait for zen, only if its good, might have to go intel UGH

I'm hoping Zen is going to be good as well as I want to upgrade to that as well
