internet speed

I know this might be a stupid question but if plug two ethernet wires into my computer and combined them will it boasted my speed or is that just for redundancy.

for local area network, it might increase the speed, depending whats on the other end

 

for internet speed, unless one ethernet cable is limiting your bandwidth, adding another will not help

Nope. If you've got a slow internet connection just upgrade.
