ASUS B85M-G R2.0 Dual-Channel

Which slots do I choose for dual-channel mode?

I've consulted the User Guide, but it didn't really answer my questions.

There are four DIMMs and I only need two sticks.

I'd like to make sure I'm using them efficiently.

Can anyone help?

Usually you would use the furthest slot from the CPU and then skip and slot and use the next one. 

 

CPU          Empty slot     DIMM     Empty slot     DIMM
