On my corsair cx600m, the picture is what I have to work with. I need to connect this with my 2x6 pin GPU. Not sure what I should do. For some reason my 6+2 cable doesn't fit into the bottom slot? Maybe I'm reading the psu wrong and it's wrong cable type. Guess I'm not sure what should go where. Help anyone?

Thanks

Plug the cable the other end into the PSU. One end of the cable should be labeled "PSU"

I can do that but I still need a total of 2x6 pin for my GPU

Also I can't find anywhere where I could get a male to 2x male splitter

As we've said, turn it around and plug it in and you will have a 2+6 pin connector.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Yes but I need two 6-pin connections total for gpu and a 6+2 does not fit into the bottom slot

Something done goofed up then, because it's just an 8-pin connector. You shouldn't have any problems

The 6+2 is not the end you plug in, it's the straight 8-pin. If it doesn't work one way, flip it round and try again. They only go in one way.

Oo ok I do not have a straight 8 pin so maybe I just need an 8 pin to 2x6 splitter??

You misunderstand me. The modular cable that comes with the PSU should have two connectors on each end with eight pins total on each connector. The one with 6 pins and another two coming off to the side is what you plug into the graphics card. The other end is what you plug into the power supply. Depending on what make/model you have it may be a solid 8-pin connector on that end or it may be a 4+4 connector like on a CPU header. Anyway, that's what you have to plug into the PSU. Do that and you should be grand.

Doesn't the PSU come with a cable that has 8 pins on one end, and possibly says PSU, and 6+2 on the other end that may say PCI-e (or even 6+2 splitting off to another 6 or 6+2)?

That's what I was thinking it should but no I don't believe it came with onE at all. That's why I'm so confused about this

That makes sense. Unfortunately I don't have first cableyou mentioned which would make life much easier. It didn't come with that
