I was wondering if I even should upgrade to a GTX 960 or a R9 380.

I built my computer a month ago, and I play games like league of legends, csgo, arma 3, and battlefield 4

I currently have a G3258 @4.5Ghz (can go higher when I get a better cpu cooler than stock)

and a EVGA GTX 750TI

Just want your guys opinions if I should upgrade in a year?

I would personally upgrade because of the proprietary features that the 960 has. NVENC, Cuda

My native language is C++

dude wait for Pascal and Polaris, or atleast Pascal because thats comming soon :) then maby get the 380, the 750TI will soon struggle with more modern games at 1080p because of the small amount of VRAM

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

first thing to upgrade would be the CPU. the G3258 great for the price but it will bottleneck a GTX 960 or 380 no matter how much you overclock.

You sure I saw some videos showing that the G3258 at a locker clock then mine wasn't the/a bottleneck

you can see when the CPU is hitting 70% the GPU is at around 60%. Fallout 4 is also a very GPU bound game, once you start playing a CPU bound game with a GTX 960, you will see a big difference. most MMOs are CPU bound.
