Fan Configuration Help

positivePXL

I am trying to decide how I want to organize my system fans in my Define R5. I have removed the larger drive case.

For intake, I planned two on the front, and one on the bottom.

For exhuast, I planned one in the back, and two fans on a 280mm H110i on top.

I will have 3 drives in RAID 10 in the smaller, 3 drive-drive cage, so I should need an SP on the bottom-front, and an AF on the top-front. These will be the Corsair LED AF/SP 140mm fans. I will use the 2 stock case fans for the fan on the bottom, and the fan on the back, and the two stock fans for the H110i on it, on the top.

Does this sound like a reasonable set-up for airflow?

I could have sworn there was one that used 3 drives in such a way that if you had 3x1tb hard drives, you could have an array that had 1.5tb of space, that had 2x the read speeds, and if any of the drives fail, then you haven't lost any data. I thought that was RAID 10, I must be thinking of another.

You don't need rear fan. 2x140mm exhaust through rad is enough.
