How about a key switch like a car ignition? Just keep the key inserted or nearby.

Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Key-Switch-with-2-Keys/dp/B0002BA3PE

Keep in mind that when using it, the key should be turned to the on position and then returned back to the off position, otherwise the motherboard will think you are holding the button (which will turn off the system after 5 seconds).

Does anyone know how i could turn a motion sensor into a switch?

yea but i dont recommend it, if something is moving while you game and your computer shuts off mid-way through lol

No I wanted it to be similar to what you can do on the new samsung phones. Where you wave your hand in front of it and it turns on. The distance would be short so stuff moving doesn't turn it off.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.
